WINE FRONT Tscharke Barossa Grounds Collection - 2010 Stonewell Vineyard Mataro

14.08.2012 15:30

Once was the Glaymond label, now Barossa Grounds, which might tie in with the whole new Barossa Valley impetus to recognise unique ‘terroirs’ of the region, but without using the word terroir. The idea, to paraphrase, is that significant locales are given airplay and conversation by multiple producers – interesting and commendable. However, it may also be a personal project here for Damien Tscharke and his family, this fruit is sourced from the 6th generation Tscharke-farmed Stonewell vineyard. Oh, and it’s not shy at a generous 15%, but proof is in the bottle, not in the numbers, usually.
