The Happy Bunch

Good things come from great people.

Tscharke is a family owned farm and winery with an unwavering commitment to its land for generations past.

Stretching back to the mid-1800s, the Tscharke’s have the Barossa in their blood. One of the original settling families, their mixed farming business was built upon grape production from the unique sub-regions of Marananga and Seppeltsfield.

Fast forward six generations and ardent farmer, vigneron and winemaker Damien Tscharke builds upon this tradition.

Growing up on a vineyard with his four sisters, he's been involved with the grape growing community his whole life. Having worked on his family’s vineyards for more than 30 years, his approach for grape growing would be considered environmentally conscious.

Our small team is everything; a mixed bag of charismatic characters whose collective flair breathes life into our brand. Our wines remain a reflection of personal influence, our passion and personalities. Respectful of the environment, our consumers and values. Beyond the wine itself, it’s our wish to create those experiences in which Tscharke can be enjoyed with familiarity, fondness and fun.

Billie'[Billie-Boo-Boo]

Pint-sized centrefold starlet, Billie shamelessly patrols the property, looking for lavish attention. Joining the team in November 2015, she's yet to hit her stride in the winery with a penchant for the finer things in life. Billie knows it only a matter of time before her next big break, but until then will cavort the carpark by way of welcome, bearing her cat-collar under sun-tinted locks.

Leisure Suit Lenny

Lenny's been around the block a few times.

Lenny's probably been through the grape-crusher too, but this born-again-lizard is an affectionate reminder of the hundred-odd critters calling our vineyard home. Too many to name (there's many a"Lenny"), they're fairly robust tenants and reinforce the decorated and diverse display of life here at Tscharke.
